A few years ago I actually thought that I was going to have my house repossessed. I had missed about four repayments on my mortgage, about two repayments on my car and several repayments on general items in the house – the tv, the washing machine and the hoover to name a few. Unfortunately I had never been cash rich but over the years I had worked hard to make sure that I had a good credit rating. Unfortunately once my rating was good I abused the fortunate situation I found myself in. I was behaving as if I was an obsessive the way I was purchasing things! Nothing was out of reach with a few credit cards with a big credit limit. I never even thought of the consequences pf having to pay all of this stuff back!

Naturally time caught up with me and I started to get some pretty threatening letters coming through the post. I panicked and decided to ask my friend for some financial help. When I spoke to him I was annoyed at first because he refused to give me money outright, saying that there werecways that I could help myself. When he finally explained that there were companies that offered debt consolidation I started to listen. It turned out that I could speak to a debt management company and they would be able to provide me with all the advice and help I could possibly need. They told me that I could consolidate my debts and it did actually turn out that I owed a lot less than I thought after the company had contacted all of my creditors and refinanced for me.

I eventually got myself out of bother, and I swore to myself never to get in the same trouble ever again. I only ever carry cash now!
